There's hugging and learning, as well as stabs at campy, sudsy fun. But to me it's a lost opportunity to dig into any truths about how women work together. We get plenty of outfits and outsized egos, but little insight.
What makes Daytime Divas appealing is the idea that the over-the-top behavior it features might actually be reality.
Daytime Divas never settles on a tone, never finds anything really interesting to say about its world and only occasionally rises to the level of mediocrity.
The cat fights might be fun if there weren't so many "twists" and the plot points weren't so messy.
It's like diva turned up to 11: If you're here for the fancy clothes, issues, scandals, insults, and catfights, you are definitely watching the right television program.
