After Season 2's bucolic interlude, The Walking Dead's third year brings more action
But nothing has been quite as useful or as long-serving as our old friends the great undead. If you require further convincing, simply witness the wonder that is AMC's series The Walking Dead.
It's atmospheric, tense and definitely not for the faint-hearted. But jumping out of your skin half a dozen times and desperately trying to fathom who's a secret zombie was more fun than you might think.
The success of a zombie thriller relies on its ability to surprise within its predictable constraints. To that end, The Walking Dead has fun.
All the tightly constructed zombie attack set pieces in the world can't save a show where the living are less interesting than the dead.
Audience Reviews for The Walking Dead: Season 3
The third season of this apocalyptic infestation is more powerful, emotional and in-depth than any of its previous seasons. The Walking Dead Season 3 constructs a thoroughly fascinating plot/story and blends it with a pack of intrinsic performances from its recurring and brand-new cast members. Combine that with as much blood/gore/violence as you can imagine and you've got yourself and breathtaking season that has twists, turns, drama and suspense in every frame. 5/5
A followup worthy of it's previous season, the highest calibre a whole season has been thus far (2015) and (re)introduces some of the best characters the series has ever, and probably will ever see.
